When two young riders are hurt, each person still needs an individual plan

WJET/WFXP reported that two juveniles were hospitalized after an e-bike collided with a vehicle in Millcreek Township, Pennsylvania.

The injuries were described as moderate. The driver of the vehicle was not hurt, and police asked witnesses to come forward.

For parents, one useful takeaway is that shared rides do not eliminate individual preparedness. Two people can be in the same incident and still have separate emergency contacts, medical histories and information preferences.

Scan If Hurt™ lets a family connect chosen emergency contacts and information to each person's scannable Safety ID.

Nothing in the reporting establishes that information was missing in this incident, and the tool does not replace traffic safety, 911, EMS or medical care.

The simple preparation question is whether each young rider carries the information their family wants available if a ride ends at the hospital instead of at home.
