Prevention and preparedness are different jobs
Patch reported that a 77-year-old electric-scooter rider died after a collision on Route 611 in Nockamixon Township.
The appropriate response to a fatal crash begins with restraint. The reporting does not support speculation about how a different product, device or action would have changed the outcome.
Road design, visibility, operating rules and driver/rider behavior belong to the prevention conversation.
Preparedness addresses a different question: if a severe incident still occurs, what person-specific information has the individual chosen to make available to the people responding?
Scan If Hurt™ lets a person connect chosen identification, emergency contacts and other information to a scannable Safety ID. It does not prevent collisions, provide medical care or replace emergency services.
Both conversations can matter, but they should never be confused. Prevention aims to stop the incident. Information preparedness is about being ready for the person-level questions that may follow.
