E-bike preparedness should travel with the rider
CT Insider reported that West Haven has amended its ordinance to restrict powered e-bike use on the boardwalk and shoreline walking path.
Public policy will continue evolving as communities decide where and how electric mobility belongs in shared spaces.
Riders can make one preparedness decision without waiting for any ordinance: decide what emergency information should travel with them.
Scan If Hurt™ gives a rider a scannable Safety ID connected to identity, emergency contacts and selected information they choose in advance.
If the rider cannot answer questions after an incident, that information can still be available to the people trying to help.
Rules may change from place to place. The rider's chosen emergency information can remain connected to the rider.
